Gowrie Contracts is ideally positioned to service the Central Belt of Scotland with many areas under 1 hour away. Having worked extensively with Falkirk Council as well as for private clients in Stirlingshire we are firmly established within the area and local communities.

We are also proud to have worked over many years for Gleneagles Hotel where we have to work to strict guidelines and ensure we are ‘invisible’ to the hotel guests. Certain works were also required to be undertaken at night to minimise disruption to both staff and guests.

We also undertake demolition and some asbestos removal works within this area as well as the remainder of Scotland for the Forestry Commission, which takes us to some of the most beautiful and scenic places around in the Country. The majority of materials are recycled and therefore not adding to landfill.

The following are typical materials found in demolition and will be recycled accordingly:

• Timber products that cannot be salvaged but can be recycled
• Timber products that can be salvaged and re-sold at
• Toilets, sinks, cisterns will be re-sold at Gowrie Contracts Reclamation Yard where possible or crushed and recycled for upfill.
• Metal is recycled where available
• Kitchen appliances and units/fixtures are salvaged and re-sold at Gowrie Contracts Reclamation Yard where possible
• UPVC Windows and wooden windows that can be salvaged are re-sold at Gowrie Contracts Reclamation Yard where possible
• All brick and concrete is crushed and sold as upfill.
• All sandstone is re-sold.
• General waste, such as carpets, ceiling tiles, plasterboard, all of which is disposed of correctly at local landfill sites.
